As Ottawa grows, it’s more than just the local parks, amazing restaurants, and festive ambiance that’s drawing families to us. It’s because we fit a large city atmosphere into small-town charm. However, we cannot ignore the ongoing challenges that face our state and the people that live in our community. It is vital for our future that when we embark on public improvements we look for every opportunity to provide not only infrastructure but also something that can economically contribute back to the people. We need to look at ways to lower the cost of living and continue to attract people and businesses to our city. I plan to use my 16 years of experience working with the city and community to see that the future of Ottawa is built with purpose and identity and not performing business as usual.

We live in a social media age and 24-hour news cycle where if the facts and information are not immediately and easily available, the general public loses trust in leadership and can become detached from what is happening in their community. I promise to the people of Ottawa that our administration will provide true transparency as to where and how our tax dollars are being spent to share information with citizens and hold officials accountable.

What makes Ottawa so unique is the city’s heritage. We must utilize our history to set ourselves apart from our neighboring communities. By fully embracing our rich past, creatively working to develop our city’s projects and amenities, and providing transparency to maintain an informed public, I can lead our city into a future that you, the voter, can be proud of.

I encourage Ottawans to consider me as their next Mayor and look forward to working with everyone in accomplishing our goals.

With Gratitude,

Robb
